A letter for Guppy.

Family Picture. 37 weeks (Valentines Day 2011)
Dear Guppy,
First of all, I promise someday you'll have a real name. I have a feeling we are going to break your cousin Koda's heart when we tell her that's not your real name. She sure loves you:) and loves going into your room and checking out all your cool toys and clothes. "Tuppy's Shews...Tuppy's sox's, Tuppy's bed". She talks to you in my belly alot:)

Here we are in the final stretch. Less than two weeks til your due date, and offically three weeks from today is my induction date. Let's not go that long. Mommy and Daddy can't WAIT to meet you, and Mommy wants to lay on her tummy:) You are due ANYTIME now. Two weeks ago our doctor told us that you were 80% effaced and starting to dilate:) GO LITTLE BUDDY!! However, nothing changed at last weeks appt...so lets make some changes for wednesday. Wanna go running? HOWEVER, at last weeks appt we started noticing that Mommy is losing weight. Good job little dude. Only 2 pounds...but 2 pounds IS 2 pounds. My body is TOTALLY preparing for you to come. I feel bikini weather coming on shortly:) (YA RIGHT!!! Nasty. Nasty. Nasty.)

The doctor has been ever so impressed with our blood pressure thoughout the whole pregnancy. We are LOW LOW LOW. We already make a good team:) I haven't had any swelling yet and my belly button hasn't poped. ALL GOOD THINGS my little friend. Keep it up. :) However, mommy tested postive for Group B Strep...bummer. No worries, we'll get some good hearty antibiotics in mommy before you are born and you should be JUST fine.

I am still craving mexican food with you. Nothing makes me happier than cheese these days. I also love fruit. Daddy let me buy some costco mango's the other day. OH MY GOODNESS. Talk about sweet nectar from heaven. You are LOVING them:) Also this week we have welcomed small amounts of easter candy into our lives. SPLENDID!! Small amounts only. We don't want mommy to get too much more chubby:)

Daddy got a new job and started last week. He is LOVING it and we are loving the hours. He is now working in Alpine and is 5 minutes away from us:) He works with your uncle Landon and the two of them have way too much fun:) Daddy is back to 9-5 and we COULDN'T be more excited for the opportunity he has to work with this great company. What a HUGE blessing:)

Your room is ALMOST ready for your big arrival. Daddy and Grandpa are working on your hutch as we speak. I am DYING to get this little number in your room. Then it will be complete:) Your bed is made and ready for you, and the diaper genie is all set up for all your fantastic blow-outs. Yeah. Once we get the hutch in there, we'll post pictures for the world to see:)

Well little buddy we can't wait to meet you and hope you enjoy your last days in womb-land. Good luck little buddy. Just remember, we are in this together. Let's not pull any funny busniess on your way out. Come when your ready, but make it snappy. Tuck and roll baby. Tuck and Roll.
We love you.
Mommy and Daddy

Ground Hog Bash 2011

HAPPY GROUNDHOG's DAY!!!
As you may all remember...we (Brian) are big believers in this simply forgotten holiday. Brian and his sisters are FIRM believers in the magic of the groundhog:)
This year we had a groundhog prediction party. Basically people came "wearing" their prediction. Will it be 6 more weeks of winter...(ugly sweaters, snow gear) or an early spring (summer clothes).
We had a chili cookoff, and of course...groundhog cake.

Here are the winter predictors...warm wooley hats, sweaters, long sleeves...

Here are the summer predictors...coconut bras, shorts, mumu's, sunglasses, short sleeves...

I know what your thinking....Nice Coconuts. Thanks, they are real:) I got them in Hawaii.

Brian is a secret member of the "inner circle" and that is why he gets the privilage of wearing a top hat and suit.....
Along with running the show, he also gives us a history lesson on groundhogs and a special unknown facts.

We had a little contest....and strongly believe that Katie and Cory won the contest for costumes. They came a little late and missed the group shot...but they deserved a picture all on their own.
Katie and I had the same idea and both wore our coconut bras....she also topped her outfit off with a bikini bottom:) Cory wore a LOVELY wet suit:) he may have been the warmest spring predictor there:)

We ended the night with full belly's and the movie Groundhogs day. (Of course).
THE best part is....today, Phil (our groundhog friend) says that it will be an EARLY SPRING!! HOORAY!!!
Happy Groundhogs Day.
