Getting Stoned....Kidney wise

Not one of my finer moments, I realize....but you have to remember I was nearing death by this point. Ohh the smile is totally fake by the way...I think I was cusing under my breath.
Just a quick little summary of my last two days of hell....and yes Mom, I said Hell....
Monday Morning (my first day of School remember) I was sleeping over at my roommate Liz' parents house (cause remember, I am homeless) and I went to bed at 1:00 am, and woke up at 1:30am in the most pain I have ever felt in my life....my lower back and right side killed, I was shaking, dry heaving and sweating like a pig....I mananged to calm down and lay back down at about 2:15am....and woke up at 2:45 and thought my life was over. I called my Mom in tears, not knowing what to do....I then woke up Liz and she drove like a mad woman to the ER....fun fun. To make a long blog short....I had Kidney Stones. Monday was filled with pacing around (in one of those fantastic hospital gowns), crying, almost screaming, crying, sweating, throwing up...(once again, poor Liz....) a CT scan and two ultrasounds. I have completely passed one stone now, and have two others in the making...neat huh? Hopefully they will just stay there, break down by themselves or never want to come out....they say that Passing a Kidney stone is worse than Child birth....so bring it on! So needless to say, I was in the hospital all day yesterday, fully drugged. The doctor said that that I had enough pain killer in me to sedate an Elephant...I am not sure if he just called me huge...oh well. They gave me the option to stay another night and try and pass the others, or to go home....I went home with my mom. So bascially I am missing my first three days of school...oppps. Ohh, just in case you are wondering, this has nothing to do with my Colonoscopy from last week...I know, two hospital visits in one week, here I come insurance!

I'm not giving her up, I am giving her more

I know this shouldn't be this hard...but how many 24 year olds still have their car from high school? This year the infamous Little Tina turned 20 years old...quite the old bird. She is a fantastic little truck, and holds so many amazing memories for me. Today my dad annouced that some crazy man is willing to trade in my beloved Tina...and my dad said yes.
How many of you had the blessing of riding in this little beauty? I got her when I was 16...and we have spent 8 amazing years together. I realize that 2 1/2 years ago, my little Zip came into my life, but only to further perserve Little Tina. She really couldn't handle the harsh winters of Logan.
I have so many awesome memories in this little truck. Here is were I first learned to drive stick shift.... and I am so blessed because if you can drive Little Tina, then you can drive anything.
(This is me and Tina pulling away in the driveway one last time....)
(Cute shoes...I realize) Little Tina has been so many places....she has treated me so well over the years. Tonight as I was driving her one last time, I was remembering some of the many awesome memories...
Here I am...turning her on, one last time....I realize it is sad to get all teary eyed...but this was my baby, and I am not giving her up, I am giving her more....

Here are ten memories of Little Tina's and I together....
1. Sleeping on the front seat in the Eastlake Parking lot before school started
2. Running out of gas on 228th
3. Piling roomates in the back, in the dead Rexburg cold, just to go the grocery store...(however, she did make for a fantastic cooler when the bed was filled to the rim with snow)
4. Printing Little Tina's name on the bed, until the dirty old man yelled...."hey tina...."
5. Getting pulled over...for the first time! Together we got out of a ticket!
6. Star gazing over Rexburg....until we got egged!! Tina's least favorite memory
7. Breaking down...a million plus times (little did I realize she just wanted to spend more time with me)
8. Moving back from Rexburg, and the wind was blowing so hard, that the fastest we could go on the freeway was 30mph (in a 75)
9. Flooring it so hard up Sardine Canyon, while little grandma's and semi's flew by leaving me in their dust, and the whole time saying..."I think I can, I think I can...."
10. Tonight, on our last ride together...just pulling out of the driveway, she died three times. Poor old bird..she has had such a good run!! Thanks girl for the memories!!

If you would all like to share your favorite Little Tina memory, please feel free to do so.

I GOT A JOB!

Well my friends it is true....I GOT A JOB! I have been looking in Logan for quite some time now, to be honest with you, I am kind of snotty and only applied at three places. Well yesterday I ran up to Logan for a minute to take a stupid math placement test (which by the way, somehow I passed....seriously I am not sure how) and I stopped in for an interview. The interview was awesome, we laughed for 30 minutes and I really felt good about it. She told me at the end that she was interiewing others and that she would call me by the end of next week. Well not even 18 hours after our wonderful hour together did she call....I must be amazing. She said "we definatly want you, when do you want to start..." I am part genius I guess:) So hooray, I have a job again! Ohh....I should mention to you, that regretfully I am not working at Hooters...I know, I know I cried too. They don't even have a Hooters in Logan. It is just a long lost dream of mine. I got a job at a place like Hooters, it is called "Sugar and Spice". (My new stage name) It is a home decor store in way North Logan. Really cute! Well my friends/suckers....sorry to get your hopes up! Hopefully someday you and your families will go out for a nice family dinner at Hooters and find me as your waitress....but that day is not now. For now I will remain spicey, selling home decor and other such goods. (Seriously, I crack myself up.....like Sabrina always said, I should be a comedian)

Oh my goodness....we made it!

Well my good friends, I made it. There was only one time in the 9 hours of sheer bliss that I thought my only option was to jump off the mtn and hope for the best. We hit the trail at 1:40am and somehow made it down by 9:50am...not too shabby! Well at the last minute last night we were able to recuit two more little suckers....my brothers girlfriend Malease and her best friend Alysa. (L to R ) Alysa, Malease, Landon, Lyns, Dad, Carly, Mckay
Here McKay and I are at the trailhead...don't we look so happy to be there at 1:40am?? He and I are the only two who haven't done this before, and are the only two Utah State Aggies!! We had to stick together amongst all the BYU cougars.

Here is Carly and I....this woman is nuts! She seriously hauled up that mtn. This girl doesn't stop for anything...expect animals. She was so nervous about seeing a moose again this year that she would freak out at any grass movement. Sadly all we saw were some deer. She has been on two hikes where she has been less than 200 yards away from moose! One time she turned the corner and was almost face to antler with 5 moose!!
Here is my hero!! If it weren't for him, I think I would have jumped! My dad is the best to hike with! Always prepared!
Here we are...at the top of the "saddle" of Mt. Timp. We got here at 6am....tired and hungry. From here it is one more hellish mile to the peak, however sadly we passed on that trek. Mother nature was not on our side and as we got to the top of the world, we came across a thunder and lightening storm, about 5 miles away. We all felt that it was more important that we be safe, than hike to the peak. To be honest I am totally cool with that....the last mile is straight up and straight down. You are basically free handing rock climbing. And up at the top is a metal shack where you write you name....metal, lightening, and the highest peak....I am no dummy.
You can't tell, but that is all of Utah Valley behind us. It was an amazing view.
Rest the legs for one more minute...and we are off! Heading down was tough on the legs but easy on the mind! It was a cool experince to hike that far in the dark, kinda scary cause you are surrounded by cliffs, but really fun!
Well....mother nature has an odd sense of humor and protected us from the zap of lightening, but soaked us. It poured all 9 miles down! By the way, there was only a 30% chance of rain....and the storm was supposed to be in Northern Utah...stupid weather people.
There she is...Mt Timp....crazy beast! That mtn is huge! See the little ledge on the top of the screen on the right...that is the saddle were we turned around.
Landon and his ladies....looking like little drown rats. It was amazing we sweat all the way up and shed clothing in the middle of the night, and as soon as the sun rose, we got chilled!!!
Davis Family picture...aren't we so cute...look at my brothers choice of clothing...what a nerd. It scared all the animals away
Lindsey, Carly and Mckay....our better side.
Soaked, tired....but we had a blast! And the best part is....WE MADE IT TO THE TOP!!!
Look at my tee shirt...the rain soaked through two layers!
She fell asleep like that on the way down....poor little neck!
Ohh my tired little baby!

Well, I can offically check another thing off my list if things to do before I am 25....sorry for such a long post. It was basically a milestone! Well after the hike we all came home, showered and slept like babies. As for me right now...it has been 8 hours since we left the trail, I am stiff, almost sore and tired. You probably could crack an egg on my butt it is so tight right now....it was an awesome experince, and I am so grateful for my awesome friends and crazy family for supporting me and climbing with me! IT WAS AWESOME!!

And she's off....11,749 feet up in the air!

Well my good friends, I bid thee farewell...for I am off to better and higher places. Not quite too heaven, but I may pass it along the way! That is right...Little Miss can't sit still, I can conquer the world, is at it again. The day after my 24th birthday I made a list of 25 things I had to do before I turned 25 (december).....and believe it or not, hiking Mt. Timpanogos is one of them. It is the 2nd highest mtn in Utah's Watsach Range. BRING IT ON! It is only 11,749 feet up...really, I am tough, (or dead, either one).

I have invited many nutty people to join, but we are down to the final day and many have backed out. Chickens. So the die youngs, I mean die hards are Me (we all should hope) my awesome fearless crazy father, my little but still kicks my butt brother Landon, my little super active really athletic, will end up beating us all to the top sister Carly and one of my most favorite people in the world my good friend Mckay. He was the one that suggested this nasty little voyage, so you better believe I am dragging his sorry butt up there! We may drag a couple more sorry suckers up there...but who knows.

Ok, the plan is to leave Saturday Morning at 12am....yes you are reading that right. I realize the mtn is in my backyard, but we must be hitting the trail no later than 1 am. We will hike in the dark, so that the bears can't see us....and it is tons cooler! Plus, I hear it is amazing to watch the sunrise at the top. There are two ways down the mtn, either walking down like civilzed idiots, or by taking the alternate route via the huge glacier ice slide....needless to say, all the deaths that you may hear about come from the crazy nerds that head down the glacier. Well, lets be honest, you people all love me and your lives would suck if I died, so therefore we are walking down, the same way we head up! I know, go big or go home....oh well. I dare you to call me a wimp! Anyways, either I will post pictures and write about the bear chase or I will be on the other side welcoming you all down to hell with me.

I think I should dye my hair

Your Hair Should Be Pink
Hyper, insane, and a boatload of fun. You're a traveling party that everyone loves to follow.

Alright jess...you have created a monster! I am having way too much fun!

I am the Inspiration!

You Are An ENFP

The Inspirer
You love being around people, and you are deeply committed to your friends. You are also unconventional, irreverent, and unimpressed by authority and rules.Incredibly perceptive, you can usually sense if someone has hidden motives. You use lots of colorful language and expressions. You're quite the storyteller!
In love, you are quite the charmer. And you are definitely willing to risk your heart. You often don't follow through with your flirting or professed feelings. And you do break a lot of hearts.
At work, you are driven but not a workaholic. You just always seem to enjoy what you do.You would make an excellent entrepreneur, politician, or journalist.
How you see yourself: compassionate, unselfish, and understanding
When other people don't get you, they see you as: gushy, emotional, and unfocused
Well I got this awesome idea from Jessica! You are a genius. I was looking for something else to blog today! My life will get more exciting the next couple of weeks, but as for now...I am boring! I found this little game to be quite semi accurate! I love the part where it says I break alot of hearts....don't I have to have a heart to break:) I also loved the part about the colorful language!! I really want to swear right now, but my mother may look at this later...I don't want to get my mouth washed out.

Will you go out with me?

Ok...I am becoming a total blog nerd. I love looking at everyones blogs, and find that I check them an embarrasing amt of times! Hey...I don't have a job, get off my back! Well tonight, was a special night. I took this HOT guy on a date.....some of you may know him....Landon Davis. We had a great time. I even did the whole picking up thing...front door and everything. We went bowling and then to Gma's for dessert, and then we went home together. I realize it was a little fast...:) I highly suggest that everyone out there with a sibling of the opposite sex (or the same, whatever, I don't judge) go on a date! It was a blast!

Ohh the classic front door, meet your date...I was so nervous! Luckily we clicked.....and matched, not even planned!
We had a deal that the loser bought the game....I clearly am not a bowler...I lost by 3 whole points!! Doesn't he look pro? And don't worry, we are working on introducing the sun to those stems of his....I wish I could say that the flash made them whiter...not possible.
Seriously....we look alike. I never noticed it until this picture. We almost have the same smile....my goodness we are sexy.
