Highland's CUTEST BABY!

On Saturday, Dylan won Highland's cutest baby contest! My mom entered Dylan, Koda and Kaleb in the contest...because they had some sweet prizes:) They had 4 age categories...and a boy and girl winner for each.
The best part was...each of them won for their age bracket!
Dylan won the 0-6 month
Kaleb won the 15-24 month
Koda won the 24-36 month

It was SOO fun!! They took their pictures and then spent some time with the judges. Then we all sat and waited for the judges to make their decisions.
I am sure people were wondering why our row kept winning...needless to say, we have Highlands CUTEST kids!!
Dylan's hat was a HIT!
Kaleb winked at the judges as he walked away
Koda was a gem and won them over with her charm...(she also signed "I love you" to the judges)

Along with the BIG gift basket we got from winning, MaLese and I each won 2 raffle prizes!! I won a gym membership for a month (much needed according to the last post:) and we also won a fisher price basketball hoop. MaLese won a big wheel bike for Koda and a doodle set for Kaleb! With all the goods from the gift basket...we easily each won about $100.00 bucks worth of diapers, toys, bottles, books, gift cards, free food...etc. We cleaned house!

Can you believe these THIGHS?? All the sudden, he is Chunkin up!!

I think teeth are right around the corner...check out all the drool!!
This outfit makes his blue eyes...ELECTRIC!

Do you see those cheeks?? Check out the Michelin Man arms!! I LOVE IT!

Being a Male Model is hard work...he was so tired from all the fame and glam:)

Here are three of Highlands CUTEST kids!!

Can you believe how fast those kids are growing?

Within the next 5 weeks...those kids are going to have another sibling!! I can't wait!!

Also....I must add....My Grandpa Woodlief won first place in a baby contest when he was young too....Good genes run in the family!!

The question was asked....

Ewe. People just need to keep their skinny mouths shut:) The question was finally asked today. Tragic that it had to come on a "skinny day". (Skinny meaning...I didn't cry when I got dressed this morning). Did it hurt worse because it came from some skinny little brat...(who by the way was WAY too old to be dressing like that). She caught me off guard. It would have been one thing if we were having a conversation and she poped "the question". But to ask me as I am slowly walking by...harsh lady, harsh.

(Picture this coming from a 40 year old skinny woman dressed like a 18 year old *%@. Never mind. I am not sure who is reading this:)

"So...how far along are you?"

Die.

FIRST Trip to the "Barber Shop"!!

Ever since my little stud was born, he has had a KILLER mullet in the back. KILLER. Last weekend we went to Dylan's first Rodeo, and I decided it was time to get it cut. He fit right in. Seriously, his little tail was LONG! My sister Katie is a hair stylist and has salon at her house...Dylan was THRILLED to go to Aunt Katie's Salon:)

He did AWESOME. Didn't cry once. He was such a little cheese ball:) He was smiling and chatting the whole time.

Clearly he got a little too excited. Here comes DINNER! (Again, sorry Katie)

Here is my little stud:) He's getting SOOO big!! Thanks Auntie Fe for the haircut! Dyl loves his "new look".

Personally, this is always my favorite part of getting my haircut:)

The passing of a Friend.

Dear Nike,
I prayed this day would never come. You have been a part of our family for 12 years now. Even though many people think we are crazy, you really are family. Mom called me last night and told me you were acting funny. I knew your time was short...I didn't realize it was this short. This morning you rang your little bell, wanting to go outside. Mom said you went over to the bushes and started digging a hole...then you laid down. You knew what was going on. The vet has now called and told us that it's time for you to go home. Not back to Mom and Dad's, but Home. If someone would have ever told me how much I would love a dog, I would have told them they were crazy. I never knew that a four legged, black bearded little girl could make such an impact on my life.

I loved how when I would walk through the door, you were always the first to greet me. You would wag that little stump of a tail, and jump up on my legs. You loved us, no matter what. I love hooking you up with food...especially under the table:) I love watching how crazy you would get when we would yell "BIRD". I love your passion for carrots:) You'd do ANYTHING for a carrot. I love how you would give kisses...few and far between, but when we got one...it ment even more. You taught me how to love animals and that there is a deeper and closer connection than I EVER thought possible.

Some people may think my family is crazy. Some people are crying inside, because they too have loved a dog. Some people may never understand how an animal can become so much a part of a family. Nike, you ment the world to us. We love you ole girl.

(Few hours later)
We are back now. We all went to the vet to say our final goodbyes. You looked so peaceful. You laid on the floor and let us all love you and say our "see ya laters". You really were a good dog. I couldn't leave you. I didn't want you to go to sleep without anyone by your side. A few of us stayed in the room, and mourned the loss of our little black furry sister. I really wanted to bring you a McMuffin and a Apple Fritter...but you were too sick. Nike, thank you for the love you have shown me. Thank for the love and memories that we now share because of the blessing you were in our lives. I know that you are in Heaven now...All Dogs Go To Heaven:) I hope you are running and chasing after birds. I hope you are taking long naps. I hope someone will hook you up with a big hearty meal, and a donut for dessert. I hope you know how much I love you. There was not a dry eye today as we said our goodbyes. You ment the world to all of us. Thanks for being a part of our family.
I love you.
