Happy Groundhog's Day 2010

Hope everyone had a splendid groundhogs day. We sure did.
I hope there are others of you out there that appreciate the greatness of this uncelebrated holiday.
Yes....we did have a Groundhogs Day party. And yes...you should too.
Everyone should celebrate a small creature coming out of the ground, predicting the upcoming weather. What talent. What grace.
We love you Punxsutawney Phil. See you next year.

For those of you who are less educated. . . the members of the "inner circle" wear top hats and bowties. Doesn't Brian look fantastic??

Here is sweet cheeks during his presentation of the history of Groundhogs and Groundhogs Day.
Any questions....please feel free to contact him directly.

Here is our fantastic cake. We made it look like a small creature had dug a hole and created a mount of dirt....and yes, those are worms. It was delicious.
Here is the party crew. We only wanted a small intimate gathering.
It was an ugly sweater party....because Phil predicted 6 more weeks of winter.
L to R...
My super cute sister in law MaLese...who is due to pop in THREE WEEKS...with a little BOY:)
My wonderful Mother
My wonderful Father
My ever so handsome Husband
My sweet sissy Katie and her hunny bunz Cory
Our dear friends Matt & Keri McGee...(some of you may recongize Matt from Redmond...they are our neighboors and we do EVERYTHING together!! )
Our sweet friend Suzanne....and her invisible husband Jake (who came shortly after the picture....)
(Matt n Keri, Jake n Suzanne are our BFF's that we hang with ALL of the time. Jake and Suzanne got married the day before us:)
and of course.....me. The sexiest one of all. :)
Happy Groundhogs Day.
Love,
The Walkers.

I knew there was a reason I always loved you. This is a fantastic celebration and you have made me seriously consider this blessed holiday and the praise that I give the little furry creature. Wait... don't you HATE little furry creatures? WHY are you celebrating this holiday?! :)

Um... you left two of your favorite people out of this little party! Hello! How could you forget your other sister? I'm quite saddened by this. We better get an invite next year! Especially since we'll be living so close :)

You are so stinkin cute and I love looking at you blog. I sure hope that the stones are passed and that you are doing better. Maybe its the weather because within the last month I have had two episodes of kidney stones and they are a mother, so I sure feel for you. I hope you are doing fabulous and I hope to see you soon.
