Dylan's 1 year Pictures!

Happy Birthday Dylan!

 Some may think this was a little "over the top", however; how often do you have your FIRST birthday?? We had a "Very Hungry Caterpillar" party for Dylan this past saturday. I have been planning this for MONTHS! We had all the food the caterpillar ate, pinata, cake eating/smashing and lots of wonderful family come into town.

 I Love this canvas we made using Dylans hands...it was tricky, but I LOVE the end result:)

Goodbye Grandpa Davis

 On Monday afternoon, my Grandpa Davis passed away. On Sunday, my whole family took a trip to Wyoming to see him; possibly thinking that it would be the last time. I am SO glad that we took the trip. A few weeks ago, he was in SLC in the hospital and I was able to visit him 3 times. He was down to about 95lbs, but still had his sense of humor. When we saw him on Sunday, he was totally different. We knew his time would be short, but we didn't realize how short it was. He had stage 4 lung cancer and possibly stomach or abdomin cancer as well. He will be missed.

We are headed up to Wyoming on Friday for his funeral.

Dylan's first trip to the ER

Wow. Who knew that an innocent double ear infection could destroy a poor little boys body so bad!!! Poor little bug has had a rough week. Last Monday he had a double ear infection so he went to amoxicillin. A week later I was taking him back because he kept pulling on his ears... So bad that they bled. Right before our appt I noticed that he had spots on his leg... Within 30 minutes he had full blown hives.
Monday night his ear was all swollen and he was covered on his bum and belly. By Tuesday morning his eyes were almost swollen shut. Throughout the day he got worse and worse... The benadryl wasn't doing a thing!!! At 10pm on Tuesday night I called my mom over because his spots and hives had purple and gray spots, he had a fever and was miserable. We decided to take him in to the ER. Poor guy was miserable. I am SO glad we took him!! They started him on some steroids and he is MUCH better. Less puffy and red, but really cranky!!! And kinda mean today; he hates all his meds and hates me for giving to him. Oh well.. It must be done:( enjoy the pics of my leper baby

Sleeping on the job

I tried for an hour to get this little man to take a nap today. He hardly ever fights me... But he refused. So, I gave up and put him in his jumper so I could shower... And waalaa....he is out:) he is also obsessed with his hammer.... He eats, sleeps and showers with it. If you look closely, you'll see, He's holding his hammer:) funny little guy!

My belated wedding present....

Some of you may not know this... But I have one handy honey. When we got married, he told me he would build me a cedar chest. He is very talented!!! Between our two creative minds... This is what we designed and he built and stained. The top is my favorite!!!! Picts don't do it justice.... It is breathtaking!!! I love it babe! Thank you!!!

This little bug, has a bug :(

What started off as a little tooth popping through.... Turned to a cold.... And now, DOUBLE EAR INFECTION!! Poor dude. He is a total trooper! We started him on drugs yesterday, and he took a 4 1/2 hr nap. I think that helped:) I know I was happier!! He now has four teeth and I LOVE his toothy grin:) I also love that I can blog again! Hooray for iPhones! My poor computer is so slow and full of data. Someone want to buy me a new one ?? Call me. I'll let ya know what one:)

Groundhog Day 2012

Many of you know.... We celebrate groundhogs day. Big time.

When you are done laughing.... Read on.

This year we received a mysterious package in the mail, about a week before ghog day. It was a fairly large creature.... Hairy and stuffed:) our very own groundhog. (thanks Brenda:) it was do fun this year to have an actual ghog at our party!!! We have a contest to name the little creature. I assure you we will NEVER do this with naming our children. Our friends and family are sure creative with those names!!! A few favorites... Highland hairy, Lawrence, Ned, Papsy Melvin... And sadly the most popular..."Philly Cheese aka Chauncy".... Don't ask. Our poor ghog. What a name. :)
We also played PHIL on the pool table... Kinda like SCUM but with the word PHIL:) and then of course, we watched the fabulous movie:)
Thanks to all our wonderful family for putting up with our crazy tradition:) I know you just come for the food:)

Dyl is adorable!!! Growing like a weed and crawling like a monkey!! Can you believe he is almost 11 months!!! I love how interactive he is! So fun!

If anyone knows how to blog from your iPhone.... I'd love some advice:) I can write but I wanna add Picts!!
