HOLLY AND I ON THE TRAIN RIDE; DON'T WE LOOK HAPPY!!
Well today was an insanely early start….especially when we got home so late. I jumped in the shower and crawled into bed, only to hear my alarm clock ring moments later. Grrr. Well today we went to Hardwick Hall and Haddon Hall. Hardwick was ok, and the gardens at Haddon Hall were amazing. Pride and Prejudice were filmed in both these locations and also a piece of princess bride was in Haddon Hall. Truly beautiful gardens. Well tonight we were all excited to get home early to Blog, do laundry and recover from the last couple of crazy days….we left at 5:40pm for a two hour train ride, Well at about 7:30pm…Darrin realized that we were on the wrong train! We were headed two hours in the way wrong direction, and the only way to fix it was to keep going in that direction for two more stops and then get on another train. Basically our 2 hour train ride turned into 5!!! The worst part was we were all starving. So we finally bought food on our second train. I bought a cranberry flapjack, and then helped eat my friends chips. Talk about healthyJ we were dying of boredom, so we tried to entertain ourselves…we got pretty creative from the would you rather game, to train surfing (seeing how long you can stay standing, without moving your feet), it is a lot harder than you may think. Those bad boys move quick and kind of jerky. All in all, it was really funny, and Darrin has given us permission to question authority from here on out. The funny thing is, we were at the right station, right platform, right time, just about 1 minute early. Our train was right behind this one…oh well, It was an adventureJ It was actually really fun, and something we can totally joke about!
